Centrally located within the Trekantsomradet (the Jutland triangle) and with a population in excess of 100,000 inhabitants, Vejle Municipality is Denmark’s sixth largest and the local Capital for the Region Syddanmark (the Region of Southern Denmark).
Vejle Municipality is made up of five municipal centres: Vejle, Give, Egtved, Jelling and Børkop, all of which are important commercial centres in their own right. Vejle is the largest town in the municipality. Together, we offer some of the finest natural, residential and commercial areas in Jutland.
In commercial terms, we are particularly well known for IT, foodstuffs, transport and the service industry, with over 10,000 companies providing over 50,000 jobs. The municipality has a strong infrastructure consisting of motorways, good rail connections and an international airport, ”Billund Lufthavn”, nearby. All these factors combine in an excellent opportunity to attract new businesses. Knowledge production, innovation, creative business clusters and entrepreneurs are all key words in our new commercial policy.
