How to Work in Denmark

The unwritten rules of Danish working culture. An evening workshop with Kay Xander Mellish on October 27th at 17.30-20.00 (5.30-8.00pm).

Danish working culture can be tricky for outsiders to figure out.

Why is it so important to take a break and eat cake with the rest of your team? Why do Danish bosses introduce themselves by their first name only and avoid using their job titles? How can you celebrate success on the job without breaking ‘Janteloven’? And what about Danish humor?

In Danish workplaces, fitting in and being seen as one of the team is a key part of succeeding on the job. This workshop will help explain some of the unwritten rules of the Danish workplace – and give you tips on how to deal with your Danish boss.

Join Kay Xander Mellish, author of the book “How to Work in Denmark“ and the voice behind the “How to Live in Denmark podcast“ for an entertaining and informative presentation that will help you understand your Danish co-workers just a little bit better.

We hope to do the workshop in person, which will include a light meal, coffee, tea and water. However, if Corona / COVID-19 regulations prevent this, we will run the workshop virtually from 6.30-9.00pm (18.30-21.00).

The workshop is free of charge and there will be a light meal, coffee, tea and water served.

If you choose to sign up, please notice participation is mandatory.
