Application for EU residence document

If you plan to stay in Denmark for more than three months, you must apply for the EU residence document no later than three months following the date you enter Denmark.

The EU residence document gives you the right to stay in Denmark for longer than three months and may also enable you to register for a CPR number (civil registration number) with your local municipality. While the Statsforvaltningen (State Administration) manages this process, you can complete the entire registration process in Vejle. Read how below.

NOTE: We recommend that you carefully read the below requirements before filling out the OD1 form (link at the bottom of page).

REMEMBER: Apply for a tax card with SKAT (Danish tax authority). Read more under Further information below.

One Stop Service:

The Statsforvaltningen (State Administration) comes to Vejle every other week to register EU citizens, which means you can complete the entire registration process at Vejle Municipality. We call it One-Stop Service. PLEASE note, this offer in Vejle is only for people living in Vejle Municipality.

If you send in your documents at least one week in advance, you can show up on a date the State Administration is at Vejle Municipality between 10-12 and complete your entire registration.
